Senior Program Manager, Business Operations

WHO YOU ARE

As the Technical Program Manager focussed on business operations, you will be critical to Sila’s success in developing next generation battery materials. You will innovate, improve and scale our decision-making frameworks for development programs and across the company. You work cross-functionally with the Research, Engineering, Development, Quality, Operations, Product Management, Finance, Strategy, and People teams.  You will ensure tight alignment of Sila’s strategy, priorities and organization while helping teams execute plans to meet business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

• Scale and improve on processes for aligning program priorities and decisions on resource needs versus capacity
• Enhance and maintain business decision-making frameworks for development programs, in order to move the highest value ideas from concept to deployment 
• Plan and lead roll out of new business processes across the organization
• Translate business requirements into plans, with clear assumptions, scope and results
• Drive progress, prioritize key activities, and proactively lead risks
• Crisply and clearly communicate program status to partners and across teams
• Streamline and optimize reporting mechanisms and processes
• Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships and promote an encouraging program team environment

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering or physical sciences
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the battery industry
• Track record of successfully setting up business processes that improve cross-company alignment of priorities, resources, and execution to objectives
• Results oriented, self-motivated, and proactive with proven creative and critical thinking
• Adept at collaborating with both technical and business groups
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
