Position Summary

The Material Program Manager (MPM) is a critical member of the operations teams, ensuring that ChargePoint and its partners have the optimum material on hand to support prototype and volume production. The MPM must balance material availability with material liability, taking ownership of material planning, inventory management, and material change management. Working closely with ChargePoint suppliers and internal stakeholders, the MPM anticipates risks and informs cross-functional decisions to keep programs tracking to schedule and cost targets.

  • Attention to detail and knack for working with large data sets
  • Understanding of procurement lifecycle from RFQ through invoice reconciliation
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and anticipate possible outcomes
  • Collaborative, problem-solving attitude
  • Strong negotiation and cross-cultural communication skills

Qualifications

  • 5+ years supply chain experience, including 3+ years in sourcing, program management, or analytics for New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Strong knowledge of BOM manipulation, procurement toolkit, and inventory management best practices
  • Experience with engineering change orders, E&O analysis, and Clear to Build (CTB)
  • Experience succinctly communicating recommendations on complex issues, to senior audiences
