Job Description

About the role

WeaveGrid clients include several of the biggest utilities in the country. We unlock value for these clients by helping their EV-driving customers connect their vehicles to our application through a simple three-step registration process. Once connected, we shape their vehicles’ charging patterns to solve multibillion-dollar challenges posed by the rise of EVs.

Stepping into the product manager role, you’ll guide the roadmap for driver-facing product initiatives, helping delight our connected drivers and guiding their behavior to create massive value for our utility clients.

You’ll be responsible for shipping features that are essential to our success and generating driver metrics that thrill our utility clients and regulators - helping them embrace programs that are essential to a future low-carbon electric grid.

By your side, you’ll have incredible, committed colleagues in UX, engineering, marketing, analytics, support and utility client success, all pushing to make EV ownership easy, cheap and rewarding for drivers across the US.

Core Responsibilities

  • What you’ll do:

    • Launch features that demonstrably delight EV drivers in utility programs
    • Deeply explore EV driver needs and frustrations through user and market research
    • Drive your roadmap while making hard decisions on what needs to get built, what doesn’t, and when
    • Maintain  clear lines of communication with stakeholders across the company, having frequent, candid conversations about priorities and constraints
    • Build an engine for collecting driver satisfaction and charge behavior insights from our programs that get utilities, regulators, and internal stakeholders excited
    • Set, communicate and achieve product goals that most effectively move the company toward strategic success
    • Incorporate a complex set of cross-team objectives, inputs and technical considerations in defining a roadmap that balances immediate delivery needs with critical investments in long-term capabilities

About you

You’re an experienced consumer technology product manager with a track record of bringing new software to life, inspired by deeply felt user needs.

You chart your course toward a thoughtful product vision by developing clear metrics for success and constant reflection on the impact of decisions you make.

You’ve demonstrated your ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders and prudently incorporate their input, while coordinating to ship meaningful features at a rapid pace.

Ideally, you’ve cut your product teeth on two-sided marketplace or B2B2C challenges, where consumer needs must be met while satisfying important security, compliance and regulatory requirements.

You have well-tuned intuition about how to make trade-offs around release timing and future commitments, knowing when something is good enough and when it needs to be immaculate.

Most of all, you’re ready to step up to a big, blank canvas and draw on your unique experience to scale a business that can meaningfully reduce global climate risk.

You have:

  • Previously achieved impressive outcomes over at least 5 years in consumer product management roles
  • Led complex, multi-stakeholder product initiatives from end to end
  • Deep empathy for software users and commitment to understanding their needs
  • Shown your ability to operate cross-functionally and make your collaborators successful
  • Extensive experience developing product roadmaps and artifacts for team alignment
  • Preferred: basic fluency in SQL (filters, groups, and joins)
  • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
  • The ability to present effectively internally and externally
  • Infectious curiosity and an experimental mindset
  • A commitment to reducing climate risk in your work
