Our low-cost liquid-phase nano-coating addresses critical electrode-surface degradation issues and enables batteries with a Silicon-dominant anode that have higher energy density, superior intrinsic thermal safety, and significantly lower cost/kWh compared to current LIBs. Our Si anode material is 50% the cost of graphite and 100% domestically sourced. We strive to transform the global automotive market by enabling low-cost and long-range EVs as a first step towards net-zero sustainability in the near future.Core Responsibilities: We are looking for a Battery Test Technician to support operations of our 4 MWh pilot line, including cell assembly and formation activities. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of lithium-ion battery fundamentals and has experience setting up and maintaining lab and manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include:<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Assist in the execution of battery testing protocols, data collection, and analysis under the supervision of senior engineers</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Perform systematic cell analyses including cell dissections and coin cell fabrication amongst other methods to determine failure mechanisms</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Work with engineers and other technicians to operate cell assembly equipment </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Routine maintenance on equipment including performing inspections, when necessary</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cell assembly equipment and identify areas of improvement to increase pilot line throughput</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">General familiarity with battery manufacturing equipment a huge plus</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">B.S. degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science OR an experience in a similarly relevant field with 2+ years of industrial experience.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Able to safely work in a manufacturing setting.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Self-starter with an ability to operate on his/her own initiative</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Creative problem solver and able to juggle multiple projects at any given time </li></ul>Location &amp; Benefits: San Leandro, CA.
