The role involves building strong relationships with business stakeholders, promoting cross-department collaboration with key members of Apollo’s investment team, and working alongside other engineers in the global Engineering organization. As part of a forward-thinking organization, the individual will focus on designing sustainable financial platforms that drive innovation and enhance the capabilities of Apollo’s global Engineering team.Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Member of the Investment Technology team, responsible for full lifecycle of development tasks - analyze, design and code business-related solutions, as well as core architectural changes, using an Agile programming approach resulting in software delivered to tight deadlines.</li><li>Participate and contribute to design discussions and code reviews.</li><li>Understand changing priorities and be forward-thinking in context switching.</li><li>Build positive relationships with other team members, collaborate, and communicate effectively to reach successful outcomes</li><li>Apply problem-solving skills to help your peers in the research and selection of tools, products, and frameworks (which is vital to support business initiatives).</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another STEM field.</li><li>A minimum of 6+ years of hands-on development experience, proficient in both scripting languages (e.g., Python) and object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, C++).</li><li>Capital Markets/Investment Banking Technology expertise required, with experience supporting or developing solutions for origination, syndication, and trading workflows.</li><li>Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with experience building and deploying scalable solutions leveraging microservices architecture.</li><li>Strong proficiency in database technologies, including relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL/NewSQL) databases, with the ability to optimize queries, write stored procedures, and manage data warehousing solutions.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build, deploy, and maintain high-throughput systems, with experience in messaging technologies like Kafka.</li><li>Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and version control systems such as Git.</li><li>A passion for clean, maintainable code, and a track record of delivering robust full-stack cloud-based applications.</li><li>Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiarity with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, or similar.</li><li>Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, and .NET.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of database technologies and data management.</li><li>Expertise in cloud platforms and DevOps practices for scalable application development.</li><li>Skilled in translating complex business logic into optimized queries and workflows.</li></ul>ABOUT APOLLOApollo is a high-growth, global alternative asset manager.
