To be effective, the ideal candidate must be a self-driven strong communicator with a strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and proficient reading wiring diagrams &amp; piping and instrumentation diagrams.Duties and responsibilities:<ul><li>Set up compressor packages for testing as instructed, conduct tests using appropriate meters and test equipment.</li><li>Record test data accurately, document test setups thoroughly, and enter test data into computer system(s).</li><li>Utilize wiring diagrams, piping and instrumentation drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and written instructions to assemble, modify and/or fabricate machines and components.</li><li>Communicate with Engineering on major development projects.</li><li> Provide input for new procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet or improve the requirements of the position.</li><li>Troubleshoot and recommend solutions.</li><li>Maintain and calibrate test instruments.</li><li>Assist in identifying product design improvements to increase efficiency in production and utilization of material.</li><li>Test finished product for quality purposes.</li><li>Performs varied and complex tasks with minimal supervision.</li><li>Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish some assigned tasks and goals.</li><li>Resolves most questions and problems, may serve as a resource on several topics, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.</li><li>May assist to orient, train, assign and check the work of other employees.</li><li>Working environment includes working with electricity, rotating/moving parts, hot surfaces, chemicals, and pressurized systems.
