What We're Looking For
Today, Novi works with hundreds of the fastest-growing beauty and personal care brands, several major retailers, and several top global CPGs. We’ve found a strong fit with our formulation tools and are seeing growing traction for our marketplace of sustainable ingredients and packaging. The industry we're tackling is fragmented and complicated, and the value we can bring is enormous. 
As Novi grows, we are looking to continue to grow our pipeline of strategic partners and craft thoughtful, scalable partnership programs that drive preference with our target brands and help make Novi the platform of choice for access to ingredient data and sourcing sustainable materials. We’re looking for a seasoned and scrappy Business Development/Partnerships leader to take our partnerships program to the next level. In this role, reporting to the VP of GTM & Strategy, you will:

  • Analyze the market ecosystem to determine which partner categories/verticals to prioritize, and design partnership program structures that suit those categories 
  • Own the Business Development pipeline end-to-end, from prioritizing target partners to prospecting and discovery, to negotiation and contract execution, to partnership launch
  • Define the value propositions we offer to partners and test/create go-to-market plans that strengthen the value we provide to both our customers and partners.
  • Partner closely with counterparts in Marketing, Sales, CS, Biz Ops, and Analytics to align go-to-market strategies and positioning

About You

  • 5+ years experience in a customer-facing sales, BD, or partnerships role, preferably with CPGs, retailers, and/or brands
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to build new relationships in complex organizations
  • Creative thinker who can create frameworks to capitalize on opportunities across the ecosystem of brands, retailers, and CPGs
  • Experience leading and delivering projects with a sense of ownership and self-accountability
  • Strong cross-functional team player, able to work closely with marketing, sales, customer success, and product
  • Outstanding oral and written communications skills and business acumen
  • Extensive experience using CRM systems to track and forecast the business impact of customer relationships
  • Comfort in a high-growth environment where the playbook is still being written
