Thanks for your interest in joining our team!   </p><p> </p><p><strong>Key statistics: </strong></p><ul> <li>1,100+ Team members</li> <li>950+ Consultants </li> <li>640+ Ph.D.s </li> <li>90+ Disciplines </li> <li>30+ Offices globally </li></ul><h2>Our Opportunity</h2><p>We are currently seeking a<strong> Video and Instrumentation Technician</strong> for our Test &amp; Engineering Center (TEC) in <strong>Phoenix, AZ</strong>.  In this role, you will work as part of a technician team with a wide range of responsibilities working with our consultants in preparing for and conducting various system, subsystem, and component-level tests.</p><h2>You will be responsible for</h2><ul> <li>Setting up camera equipment in a hands-on environment for documentation of various test programs, including but not limited to automotive crash testing, sled testing, vehicle handling tests, and other test programs</li> <li>Maintaining and troubleshooting camera and other photographic lab equipment and editing suite software</li> <li>Scheduling personnel and equipment resources required for high-speed, real-time, and other equipment used for video documentation</li> <li>Building cable assemblies that interface with various pieces of equipment</li> <li>Specifying and evaluating new photographic test equipment required for the lab</li> <li>Supporting consultant engineers by developing and creating custom camera setups required for documenting unique test setups</li> <li>Serving individually or as a team technician in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities</li></ul><h2>You will have the following skills and qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Associates degree in videography, electronics, or other related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in video documentation of dynamic testing</li> <li>Experience using real-time and high-speed video systems and associated high-intensity lighting</li> <li>Experience in Photron PV, Phantom, or other high-speed camera control software</li> <li>Experience with video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, Wondershare and Photoshop</li> <li>Ability to apply experience in video documentation to achieve unique project goals through creativity and critical problem-solving</li> <li>Ability to operate common hand tools and basic electronic troubleshooting tools such as a digital voltmeter</li> <li>Excellent verbal communications skills and a demonstrated dedication to quality and accuracy</li> <li>Must be versatile, team-oriented, and willing to work overtime to meet project deadlines</li> <li>Knowledge (preferable) or interest in automotive systems</li> <li>Additional experience such as soldering for basic cabling and electronic maintenance, welding brackets for test setups, working with data acquisition systems, experience with video tracking software and drone piloting is a plus</li></ul><h2>Life @ Exponent</h2><p>To learn more about life at Exponent and our impact, please visit the following links: </p><p> </p><p>https://www.exponent.com/careers/life-exponent </p><p>https://www.exponent.com/company/our-impact </p><p> </p><p>Attracting, inspiring, developing, and rewarding exceptional people with diverse backgrounds and expertise are central to our corporate culture.
