Job Description

Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market. You will work with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds in robotics, controls, and vehicle engineering to develop sustainable transportation for the future. In this role, you will lead the environmental attribute of our vehicle. Working at a startup gives you the chance to manifest your creativity and make a significant impact on the final product.

Responsibilities

  • Define vehicle level targets and cascade requirements to engineering design teams.
  • Lead the development and achievement of environmental attribute performance targets.
  • Determine the attribute status, escalate issues, and drive issue resolution
  • Develop tools and processes to support attribute status and requirement traceability.
  • Conduct benchmarking, research, and report on industry trends in product sustainability.
  • Support the implementation of tools and processes for resource & material management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or an Environmental related field of study.
  • 5+ years of automotive or related environmental attribute development experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with requirements management software.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Carbon Footprint or Life Cycle Analysis modeling is desired.

Vaccine Mandate
Employees working in this position will be required to have received a single dose of the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine OR have completed the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series. In addition, employees will be required to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccine by the earlier of (1) April 15 or (2) within two months of becoming eligible for the booster vaccine.
