NextEra Energy, Inc. is one of the largest and highest-performing power generation companies in the nation, and their PGD team is responsible for a diverse generation portfolio of over 72 GW.This role requires developing expertise in Maximo, alongside a foundational understanding of asset management principles, functional process design, and agile methodologies. The selected candidate will support efficiency, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within our asset management operations, ensuring effective integration with other pivotal systems. Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills<ul><li>Demonstrated knowledge of Maximo, including configuration to meet business-specific needs. Foundational understanding of Maximo applications, such as Assets, Work Orders, Service Requests, Preventive Maintenance, Planning, Inventory, and Contracts.</li><li>Support the lifecycle of NextEra Energy's enterprise asset management system enhancements, assisting with implementation, monitoring, maintenance, development, testing, and upgrades under senior guidance.</li><li>Participates in program increment and sprint planning meetings, manage product backlog, prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and ensure alignment with stakeholders.</li><li>Assist in identifying potential risks associated with asset management operations and support the development of technical debt mitigation strategies to ensure long-term maintainability and system effectiveness.</li><li>Collaborate with business stakeholders to review, understand, and map business processes, ensuring alignment with system functionality to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Drive improvements by integrating stakeholder insights into process design and optimization efforts.</li><li>Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams and external partners to enhance asset management performance. Cultivate innovation by utilizing out of the box applications to streamline operations and support data-driven decision-making.</li><li>Support business unit communication and documentation to facilitate integration of Maximo with ERP, evaluation and scheduling systems, and analytics platforms, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency across the power generation landscape.</li><li>Assist in understanding and meeting the expectations of internal and external stakeholders, supporting efforts to gather and apply input to enhance products and services while building and maintaining professional relationships.</li><li>Follow established procedures for change management and implementation, supporting preparation of technical and functional documentation and assisting with implementation process activities.</li><li>Support the transition of new site and plant equipment from NextEra Energy's Engineering &amp; Construction team to the Power Generation Division, working with the Renewable Operations Integration team to ensure asset integration into PGD systems.</li></ul> Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelors degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience</li><li>Minimum 2+ years experience with Maximo or similar enterprise asset management systems</li><li>Basic knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and industry-specific analytics tools</li><li>Developing analytical and problem-solving skills to support solutions to interpersonal, technical, and administrative challenges</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with coworkers at various organizational levels</li><li>Working knowledge of PC software applications including Microsoft Office and other related software applications</li><li>Experience with Agile project management processes and tools</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Quality Certification – Green Belt Certification</li><li>Exposure to Agile methodologies and Product Ownership concepts (e.g., SAFe, Scrum fundamentals)</li><li>Basic ability to interpret engineering documentation and technical drawings</li><li>Awareness of risk assessment and change management principles and implementing standards (e.g., Management of Change, PROSCI, ADKAR)</li><li>Basic proficiency with programming languages such as Python and experience using IDEs for software development</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to contribute to results through effective stakeholder collaboration</li></ul>
