We're growing and are looking to add an EHS Technician to our team. Work shift will be Mon-Friday, 8 hours a day.
Responsibilities:
Support the maintenance of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation.Conduct and document regular inspections of safety equipment. Restock safety supplies as needed.Conduct daily inspections to ensure 5S objectives are met and the workplace remains clean, safe, and healthy.May participate in regular area inspections, document corrective actions, and track to closure.Participate in EHS training delivery.Record environmental parameters. Take effective steps to ensure that all required records are prepared and maintained.Collect data in support of other environmental/sustainability metrics.Communicate task completion status both verbally and in writing.Actively participate in Emergency Response Team.Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma and two years of work experienceExcellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills with all levels of personnel.Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work under general supervision.Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner.Must demonstrate personal integrity and high ethical standards.Must be able to work in a fast-changing environment with multidisciplinary team and scientists.
Highly Desirable:
Experience working within a battery or automotive operations and/or manufacturing.Strong people skills.
Physical Requirements:
May work with airtight isolation chambers and/or wear neoprene or vinyl gloves for 15-30% of the time. May frequently reach above shoulder heights and below the waist. May be required to use hand or power tools. Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, lift up to 30 pounds, push and extend arms.
