We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer to lead our Equipment Install Design team. The Engineer will be charged with overseeing design of all major equipment installation packages to increase R&D capability or manufacturing capacity. The ideal candidate must be able to provide design experience, supervision, and strong engineering support. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and cross-functional teams throughout the organization. Responsibilities: Lead in-house and outsourced Electrical, Mechanical and Process engineers and designers. 
Meet with key project stakeholders, project managers, consultants/vendors and business partners regularly to understand requirements for installing new equipment.
Design and/or oversee the development of equipment installation (MEPS) plans and documents to accomplish goals on time and on budget.
Improve designs and standards with feedback from design, installation, and manufacturing processes.
General responsibilities include supporting through good engineering practices, space planning, architectural and engineering design, project estimating, useful life analysis, reliability engineering, pilot facility design, manufacturing engineering, and engineering team development.
Implements policies and procedures for design engineering operations.
Assists in review of annual operating budget and capital budget and ensures the department strives to operate within budget each year.
The primary focus is to look for ways to engineer with sound cost savings/avoidance, risk mitigation and "green" engineering practices in mind.
Support the Capital Justification Process, reviewing various stakeholder requests for code compliance, MEP capacity limitations, space conflicts, or other challenges.
Liaise with Lab Operations, Lab Services, Environmental Health Safety and Security (EHS&S), Procurement, IT, Finance, other department leaders.  Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Competencies:   Ability to make calculations to support engineering design.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical) or Construction Management.
7+ years experience in technical construction project management or engineering.
Ability to estimate capital projects and develop budgets for projects.
Registered Professional Engineer a plus.
Develop, implement, and improve design/ engineering guidelines and standards to ensure consistency between buildings and sites.
Ability to effectively supervise groups of workers and set and communicate priorities.
Ability to consider relative costs and benefits of potential actions and make an appropriate determination.

Proficiency with MS Office.
Advanced skills with computer applications such as AutoCad, Revit, BlueBeam etc.
