The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Batesburg, SC. Must be able to work the second shift (4:00pm to 2:30am) - Monday through Thursday.Accountabilities:<ul><li>Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials and drawings</li><li>Set-up and operates conventional and CNC machine shop equipment.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.</li><li>Inspect own work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to requirements including HSE requirements, quality standards, and all work instructions.</li><li>load tools, perform troubleshooting and perform quality checks before completing job</li><li>Support other departments as directed including performing assembly work and painting as needed.</li></ul>Required Skills and Knowledge: <ul><li>Experience as CNC/Machine Operator 2 years or more.</li><li>Able to follow standard procedures.</li><li>Proficient at reading blue prints, drawings and work instructions</li><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Able to work the second shift - 4:00 pm to 2:30 am Monday through Thursday.</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>CNC programming experience</li><li>computer skills as well as Microsoft Office</li></ul>Education:High school diploma or equivalentLanguage:English ProficiencyBenefits: Hitachi Rail employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including Competitive Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short &amp; Long Term Disability, Life &amp; Accident Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, a Retirement Savings Plan, and Paid Vacation.
