Job Description

Redaptive is searching for dynamic, forward-thinking Business Development Executive- Sustainable Solutions/Origination to expand its pipeline of large complex energy and efficiency retrofit construction projects through expanded sales opportunities and partner relationships, identify new opportunities for partnerships, qualify and on-board new strategic partners, drive further partner engagement, support lead generation expansion.
This individual will be part of our rapidly scaling Campus and Strategic Projects vertical within our Go-To-Market team and reports directly to the Director of Business Development on the Campus Team. This is an external facing role that also requires significant cross-functional collaboration spanning our sales, solutions, legal, and finance teams.
This individual will have an opportunity to contribute in a direct and visible way to Redaptive’s top and bottom-line by successfully expanding our partnerships and origination pipeline.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute and deliver against the business development strategy across our core target sectors of Healthcare, Higher Education and Manufacturing.  Support the sales origination pipeline growth across those sectors through sales channels such as owner’s rep firms, corporate real estate management firms, OEM’s, contractors / subcontractors, technology providers, and other professional services organizations
  • Identify new business opportunities for the Campus Team through existing industry relationships and by analyzing the joint market opportunity (quantitative and qualitative) for existing/future partners and define market requirements for successful partnership
  • Qualify new sales leads and represent Redaptive in external meetings and events with senior customer and industry executives
  • Qualify, structure, negotiate, and manage partnership requests and also represent Redaptive in external meetings and events with senior partner executives
  • Collaborate across internal teams (marketing, engineering, product, sales, delivery, finance, and legal) to launch and engage partners through tightly integrated offerings
  • Support joint go-to-market activities across a mix of channels by leveraging content, learning and development events, and other campaign strategies

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years in similar field and responsibilities, specifically in corporate real estate, energy markets, and/or consulting targeting Healthcare, Higher Education and Manufacturing sectors 
  • Demonstrable experience in building origination pipelines in large scale energy efficiency projects or related industries, e.g. commercial or industrial real estate development, public private partnerships, generation or utility projects, etc.
  • Working knowledge of evolving regulatory policies that are driving new growth market prospects, including Commercial PACE, regional climate action laws, FTM and BTM BESS, community solar, etc.
  • Strong interest in energy and sustainability and in reducing the impacts of climate change
  • Demonstrated problem-solver, drive-for-results, and “closer” mindset
  • High-motor with ability to balance bias-for-action with collaboration
  • Quantitative and analytical skills to distill data into meaningful, actionable insights
  • Articulate communicator with superior presentation development and delivery skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new domains quickly
  • Manage multiple partners, activities, and teams
  • Strong commercial skills that can navigate complex relationships
  • Resourceful and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong relationship management and rapport building
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to drive output from multiple team members
  • High standards for self and others with demonstrated ability to make huge gains from status quo
  • Willingness and ability to travel (up to 30-50% as required by business development needs)
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to working from home for the foreseeable future

Colorado applicants: The expected annualized salary compensation for this position is $129,168. This estimated salary represents the typical starting rate of candidates hired in Colorado. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include relevant experience, skills, and your remote work location. Redaptive offers subsidized medical, dental and vision plan coverage, a 401(k) match, participation in our equity plan, and an annual At-target incentive bonus opportunity of at least 10% of salary at 100% achievement (actual achievement % will vary).
