Job Description

Redaptive is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team to create best-in-class, intuitive, and functional websites and other digital tools. As a UI/UX Designer, you have a deep understanding of creating and maintaining scalable design systems, user-centered design, development practices, and the level of effort needed to turn your visual concept into a functional product.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with product managers, developers, and key stakeholders to create digital tools that reflect current design and interaction practices.
  • Create innovative solutions that solve for both business and user needs.  Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability).
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.  Develop mockups and prototypes around customer needs with clear annotations for development team.
  • Plan and implement new designs as well as optimize and refine existing user interface designs.
  • Create responsive designs for multiple contexts and device types (desktop, mobile, tablet).
  • Manage and scale design libraries and design systems with adherence to brand identity requirements.
  • Prepare and present working prototypes regularly to internal teams and key stakeholders for feedback and user testing.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement technically sound, attractive, usable designs.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • 3-5 + years proven experience as a UI/UX Designer.
  • Experience and understanding of user-centered design principles, basic HTML, CSS.
  • Expert in Figma.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of current technology trends and how they influence user experience.
  • Ability to combine interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience.
  • Passion for solving complex problems into simple and elegant solutions.
  • Knowledge of the design-to-development workflow.
  • Experience  working with developers and stakeholders to incorporate motion into digital products in seamless, thoughtful, and feasible ways is highly preferred.
  • Must adapt to changing technology and restrictions, design challenges, deadlines, and project requirements.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment.
  • Energy, electricity, HVAC, lighting, solar, or other related domain experience is a plus.
  • Expectation on working hours will be 3 pm – 11 pm IST to align with USA mornings

Portfolio of previous work must be presented incorporating final UI designs as well as rough work and sketches that demonstrate an understanding of UX design, prototyping and visual design best practices.
