This position will be hybrid and located in our software development centre in Herndon, VA, USA. This position is within the Cloud Product group where we develop products that are deployed around the world involving battery system modelling, battery system monitoring, islanded grid control, renewable energy forecasting, and electricity market bidding. Role Summary/Purpose This role's main function is to advance the development of our Battery Energy Storage Systems modelling platform and tools. You will lead the productization and development of several web application UIs (User Interface) and middle tier API services. As we transition from our MVP (Minimum Viable Product) phases, we are looking for someone to help drive solid technical plans to lay a foundation for resilient, scalable, production-ready applications to help empower our customer workflows globally.  Essential Responsibilities • Execute our vision for the next evolution of our energy bidding platform, and cloud offering energy site management application. • Design systems and pipelines processing mass amounts of data in near real time • Design APIs for internal and external consumption in a secure manner • Lead our team in refining better practices and solid foundations for our applications to grow out of MVP phase into a mature application, while balancing feature delivery alongside these improvements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and helping product &amp; stakeholders understand the technical trade-offs and value associated with their next roadmap phase requests. • Identify methods for improving performance within the context of the business logic and key performance indicators. • Write clear, simple user facing documentation to communicate the structure of the tool and how each feature can be leveraged. • Bring a keen eye for well thought out user experience and workflow, to transition feature requests into fully formed Ideas that address customer needs effectively • Support tasks outside of job description as needed. The candidate must be able to embrace the fast and dynamic environment of a growth stage company, comfortable with adjusting quickly to changing priorities.
