We ingest data from various sources, including our own proprietary environmental sensors/hardware, to calculate carbon emissions from different facilities in real-time via SaaS. The resulting independent data can inform the procurement of offsets in real-time using microtransactions, formulate a data-driven ESG strategy that investors now demand, improve operations by identifying problem areas in minutes, and bolster customer engagement through radical supply chain transparency.

The Business Development Analyst – Energy Transitions is part of the Sales team and will focus on research, analysis, and organizing the team to increase revenue for the company. This role will work collaboratively with the Customer Success and Public Policy teams to effectively execute the commercial strategy for Project Canary.

Responsibilities:

• Research companies in various industries (with a particular focus on midstream oil & gas companies and utilities), their decarbonization strategies (including carbon capture & storage), emerging industry trends, and other market data
• Prepare reports and presentations for day-to-day decision making and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
• Assist/manage sales processes and customer relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (business, finance, economics, engineering or science, preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in business/analytical role (e.g., analytics, strategy, finance)
• Working familiarity with oil & gas companies, utilities, and energy markets
• Commercial acumen, proactive nature, excellent work ethic, and strong communication and presentation skills, required
• Ability to work independently, build relationships both internally and externally, effectively multi-task, manage deadlines, learn quickly, and possess superior attention to detail
• Vaccination required
