The Midstream Certification Engineer – Transmission & Storage will be a part of the Certification team, assessing our customers’ approach to environmental responsibility. This individual will be responsible for managing customer relationships, executing certifications, and maintaining a curiosity about environmental best practices for constant evolution of our product.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on continuous development of the Midstream Certification
• Provide engineering expertise on facilities and operational procedures in the transmission and storage segment of midstream
• Solicit input from industry experts, engineers, regulators, universities, and NGOs on the certification product
• Identify the necessary documentation to evaluate the operational impact of engineering design choices and company policies and procedures
• Evaluate companies’ equipment and process design
• Evaluate companies’ ESG policy relative to impact on land, water, air and community
• Interview employees in field and corporate offices
• Travel to customer sites for in-person audits of their facilities
• Assist the development of a white paper on the Midstream Certification process

Requirements

• 7-10 years of engineering experience in midstream oil and gas, focused on interstate transmission and storage
• Work experience in multiple US regions, preferred
• Detailed technical understanding of compression stations and equipment
• Knowledge of FERC, PHMSA, and other applicable regulations
• Understanding of processes from lease level to market delivery points
• Knowledge of the geographical impacts on midstream processes and facility requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, petroleum or chemical engineering
• Ability to work in industrial settings, outdoors, and/or at elevated heights
• Vaccination required
