We have an opening for a Fall 2022 (July-Dec) Prototyping Engineer Co-Op on the team.

Job Brief

The Prototyping Engineer Co-Op will be responsible for assembling and debugging new test platforms for investigating CO2 conversion, as well as maintaining existing infrastructure, and assisting with development and prototyping of new test equipment and methods as needed.

What you will do

• Build equipment and instrumentation for testing CO2 conversion processes
• Troubleshoot and repair test equipment such as gas chromatographs and mass flow controllers
• Assemble and test subsystems relating to gas delivery, water flow, electrical signals and communication, and thermal control
• Document operating procedures and bill of materials for ongoing projects

Who you are

We recognize that experience comes in different forms, many skills are transferable, and passion goes a long way. Even more important than your resume is a clear demonstration of skill, dedication and ability to learn. A stand-out candidate would show broad ability to prototype across several disciplines of engineering, including but not limited to the following areas:

• Hands-on experience designing and building hardware/scientific equipment
• Experience with basic hand and power tools
• Machine shop experience (milling machine, cold cut saws, grinding)
• Experience working with compressed gasses
• Strong desire and curiosity to learn new things
