This position is responsible for assisting with the management of the Company’s interconnection requests.  </p><p></p><p><b>This position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. </b></p><p></p><h1><b>KEY <span>RESPONSIBILITIES</span></b></h1><ul><li>Coordinate the preparation of interconnection documentation and support the administration of interconnection positions for projects in the portfolio</li><li>Analyze transmission system data, interconnection study results, and grid constraints to inform project development and strategy.</li><li>Develop and maintain tools and databases to track interconnection status, including deposit schedules, study timelines, milestone tracking, and key correspondence.</li><li>Monitor interconnection queues and ensure timely execution of financial postings and other critical milestones to maintain project viability.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, development, and regulatory, to align interconnection strategies and provide technical insights.</li><li>Participate in transmission, market, and resource planning processes and working groups across ISOs/RTOs.</li><li>Improve data management and automation processes to enhance efficiency and organization.</li><li>Support technical documentation and internal process development to drive consistency and accuracy.</li><li>Assist with due diligence for project acquisitions as needed.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><h1><b><span>REQUIREMENTS</span></b></h1><ul><li>Ability to perform detailed technical analysis, synthesize results and automate repeatable processes</li><li>Ability to communicate technical issues effectively to non-technical audiences and higher management</li><li>Ability to review technical designs, reports, documentation, and market data to support project development efforts</li><li>Ability to function in a team and demonstrate a strong motivation to succeed in a very fast paced environment</li><li>Ability to obtain approval to access Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) [see <a href="https://www.ferc.gov/enforcement-legal/ceii"><span>https://www.ferc.gov/enforcement-legal/ceii</span></a>]</li><li>Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment</li></ul><h1><b>EDUCATION /<span> EXPERIENCE</span></b></h1><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (e.g., physics, math, engineering, computer science, data science) is required</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Familiarity with power systems concepts, transmission planning, or grid operations is a plus</li><li>Previous internships with demonstrated experience in ISO/RTO economic modeling, energy market data analysis and/or powerflow analysis is preferred</li><li>Experience with Excel and MS office Suite is required.
