You will design new solutions for generating green hydrogen and implement design releases from prototype to production.You will be based onsite in San Jose, CA, and you will report to our Director of Power Platform.Primary ResponsibilitiesWork on the design and analysis of the mechanical aspects of a high-power electronic product for hydrogen electrolysis. This includes:<ul><li>Lead the power system's high-level design and architecture together with power systems electrical engineers.</li><li>Detailed mechanical design of power bussing MV transformers to DC bus interfaces for prototype and product</li><li>Collaborate with Power Electronics designers and systems engineers on optimization and modeling of the power system plant costs.</li><li>Build electromechanical interface drawings, system diagrams, design reviews, and other internal and external documentation related to this scope of work</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Master's in Mechanical Engineering plus 10 years relevant, or BS plus 12 years relevant experience</li></ul><ul><li>Proficient in 3D modeling and CAD drawings, Mechanical design, Tolerance analysis, and FMEA</li><li>Knowledge of sheet metal, extrusion, welding, casting and injection molding fabrication methods</li><li>Proficient in thermal designs, including forced air and liquid cooling</li><li>Familiar with outdoor-rated electronics packaging, corrosion, IP ratings</li><li>Knowledge of 1000 Vac unit design, including applicable NEC, UL, and IEC standards</li><li>Kiloamp-level AC and DC bussing systems; bus bars and bus ways</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits | P5#LI-Onsite<div><div><div>San Carlos Zone</div><div>$190,000—$225,000 USD</div></div></div><div>Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
