Ecosia, the search engine that plants trees, is one of the world's largest social businesses and the first B Corporation in Germany. As part of our mission to cultivate a more environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable world, we are planting and protecting forests by enabling people to channel their everyday actions into environmental good. So far our 20 million users have planted over 140 million trees. Our reach is expanding as we continue to grow and plant native and biodiverse trees worldwide!
We're looking for a passionate Product Manager (Mid-level/Senior) to join us remotely or in our Berlin office, leading efforts in one of our core product teams. As a Product Manager, you will be helping users around the globe plant trees and have a positive impact from searching and browsing the web with Ecosia.
The salary range for the role:A fair compensation package that reflects your skills and experience within these ranges:
Mid-level: between €49k - 66kSenior-level: between €63k and €86k

YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE AN IMPACT
- Lead the discovery, evaluation, development and release of new features and products in your cross-functional product team that help users plant millions of trees with Ecosia
- End-to-end ownership of your product covering a whole user journey from acquisition to long-term retention, along with helping define and refine our product strategy
- Enable your team to design and optimize robust software, that can guarantee the highest quality, uptime and scalability for millions of users. Make sure your team has what it takes to do so and if not, you jump into action to change that.
- You keep learning new things, stay open minded and look to the broader industry for inspiration and partnerships.
YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
- You have at least 3 years of experience in managing software products, ideally consumer products with global scale
- You have worked in multi-functional product teams, having shipped valuable product to users and having responsibility for your team’s outcomes
- You have demonstrated the ability to work with senior leadership, make strategic decisions and move a team forward confidently under ambiguity.
- You have a solid technical understanding that enriches your conversations with your team, an eye for a good user experience and know when to use data and how to leverage user research and testing.
- You are a great communicator, able to use visuals and writing to get your point across. You are also a good listener and can step into the shoes of others to understand their point of view.
- Your heart is beating for our cause and you connect with our core values and the way we work.
- Fluent English (German not required)
