DUTIES: We seek a Software Development Lead based out of our office at 3800 Automation Avenue, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work from the aforementioned address and from home. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned address. Note, this position does not require travel.Software Development Lead is responsible for Software (SW) projects for our drivetrain electronic control systems (such as AWD products). The responsible activities span the software development lifecycle from specification, design, development, test, release, maintenance, and continuous improvement. The software development will follow the BorgWarner software development process which complies to Automotive SPICE. The SW Development Lead will utilize planning techniques from Agile Scrum and Waterfall methods. The SW Development Lead will work along with other BorgWarner engineers to ensure that program goals are met, schedules are maintained, and problems encountered during the development process are resolved. Lead the software project development. Responsible for technical software project management on Drivetrain System products. Plan and manage the software development work for the assigned projects. Define the software release development schedules and detailed release scope. Identify and analyze sources of software requirements, specify software requirements.
