Working collaboratively with Sales, Business Development, Product, and Engineering, you will help ensure customer needs are met and expectations are exceeded. You will establish and lead structured and thoughtful processes, coordinating cross functionally, to oversee all operations partners and third-party vendors. You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and performance of EV charging equipment and associated building systems. This role supports the operational integrity of EV infrastructure by ensuring that all equipment and facilities are safe, functional, and compliant with applicable codes and standards.</span></div><div> </div><div>Site operations<span style="font-size:16px;"> includes property and building management such as security, cameras, lighting, janitorial, site-access, internet, traffic barriers, etc. </span>Charger operations<span style="font-size:16px;"> includes charger hardware monitoring through various software tools, troubleshooting and verifying charger issues before deploying corrective action, on-site customer onboarding and support for new fleets, timely response to customer questions and developing training and strategies to address customer feedback with an eye toward exceptional service and scalability.</span></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead internal and external operations support partners and staff</li><li>Support the creation of supplier agreements and assist in negotiations with key partners</li><li> Manage and facilitate charging hardware and customer vehicle interoperability testing</li><li>Lead customer onboarding: ensure customers’ first weeks on-site are smooth and operationally successful for each new fleet added to a property</li><li>Serve as main point of contact for all escalated customer operational questions and requests</li><li>Establish, monitor, and track operational KPIs for internal and external vendor performance</li><li>Collect feedback directly and indirectly from customers on how to improve the charging experience, propose solutions and implement them. Inform design of future sites.</li><li>Reporting: produce internal and external reports for the portfolio, sites, sets of chargers, and specific customers</li><li>Site launch: help commission and launch new sites / chargers and perform internal checks to ensure optimal charging behavior</li><li>EV Charging Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on DC fast charging stations, including hardware and software components</li><li>Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to EV charging functionality, network connectivity, and site-level infrastructure</li><li>Documentation: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and accurate records of maintenance activities, service logs, and work orders for both EV equipment and facility systems</li><li>Spare parts: ensure all parts inventory is properly stocked and on-site staff know how to access and utilize spare parts; process warranty claims as required</li><li>Customer charge planning: support customers with questions about how to optimize fleet charging for speed, power, cost, etc.</li></ul><h3>Knowledge &amp; Skills</h3><ul><li>Background in operations spanning energy, infrastructure and EV charging</li><li>Self-starter with an entrepreneurial work ethic, strong problem-solving skills, and bias for action</li><li>Deep domain expertise in core components of EV fast-charging solutions including batteries, hardware, software, interoperability, communication protocols, and O&amp;M with a passion for solving complex problems</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to successfully communicate in all situations with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Ability to translate and effectively turn customer needs into real-world solutions</li><li>Experience managing third party vendors</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Mission-driven to combat the effects of climate change by tackling the urgent problem of decarbonizing the transportation sector at scale</li><li>3+ years of experience in e-mobility with understanding of fleet customer needs</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, finance, math, environmental science, or related field</li><li>EV Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment), charging protocols, and basic networking for charger connectivity</li><li>Regular travel to sites when new customers are onboarded until the customer is operational; ad-hoc travel as needed to ensure operational excellence (30%+ travel required)</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:16px;">This role is eligible for EV Realty’s Equity Incentive Plan, 401k, health, dental, and vision insurance fully paid for by EV Realty, One Medical membership, online mental health support, virtual doctor visits, FSA, unlimited PTO, paid parental leave, commuter benefits, and a health and wellness stipend.  EV Realty is a hybrid/remote work company. </span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">EV Realty is an equal-opportunity employer.  At EV Realty, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
