<div><b>About the Internship</b></div><div><br></div><div>At Halter, we’re building world-class virtual fencing technology that transforms the way farmers and ranchers work. We tackle complex, real-world problems with technical solutions, helping farmers lift productivity, care for their animals, and farm more sustainably.</div><div><br></div><div>We’re offering an internship for someone who’s keen to learn how our tech works in the real world. You’ll work with our Research &amp; Development and Guidance Operations teams. You'll get experience testing new features, supporting farmers, analysing data, and learning how animals respond to our virtual fencing system.</div><div><br></div><div>This is a practical, hands-on role. You’ll be based on our R&amp;D farm near Morrinsville, with occasional days in our Auckland HQ. You’ll be working with a bunch of great people who care about doing things well and getting results that matter.</div><div><br></div><div>For the right candidate, this internship will lead to a full-time role on one of our teams. Several of our current staff started right here.</div><div><br></div><br><br><h3>What you'll be doing</h3><ul><li>Learning how our collars work and how to use our internal tools</li><li>Supporting farmers by helping answer questions and troubleshoot problems</li><li>Running field tests and trials on new features</li><li>Checking in on animal training progress and identifying any issues</li><li>Digging into data to understand animal behaviour and system performance</li><li>Working closely with engineers and product teams to improve what we build</li><li>Visiting farms when hands-on support is needed</li><li>Pitching in on whatever comes up, this job varies day to day</li></ul><h3>What we're looking for</h3><ul><li>You’re studying (or recently finished studying) something related to ag, animal behaviour, data, engineering, or similar</li><li>You understand farming and you’re keen to learn fast</li><li>You enjoy solving problems and love to figure things out</li><li>You’re organised and don’t let details slip</li><li>You’re comfortable working on-farm, in gumboots and in the mud if you have to</li><li>You’re a clear communicator and can talk to farmers in a straightforward no BS way</li><li>You’re curious, reliable, and ready to get stuck in</li></ul><br><div><b>Where You’ll Be</b></div><div>Most of your time will be at our R&amp;D farm near Morrinsville. We’ve set up a proper workspace in an old calf barn.
