You will work closely with the other Lead &amp; Staff Engineers, the Head of Engineering as well as Product Managers in the area to define and execute a delivery roadmap and operate the software with your team. Furthermore, you will be the disciplinary lead for an engineering team of around 5 –7 engineers and be responsible for their professional and career development. With your experience in operating software systems and balancing operational and feature development work you will help your team to be successful and deliver according to the company's targets.<h2>What you'll be doing:</h2>As a Lead Engineer (f/m/d) on the Product Delivery team, you will be responsible for: <ul><li>Leading a software development team both disciplinary as well as from delivery roadmap </li></ul><ul><li>Working in a hybrid infrastructure environment (cloud and on-prem), managing complex software deployments at scale </li></ul><ul><li>Strengthening the Operational mindset in Product Delivery with focus on monitoring, alerting and controlled feature rollout </li></ul><ul><li>Acting as a sparring partner for Product Managers and Stakeholders in the area to manage requirements and priorities </li></ul><ul><li>Being responsible for delivering features and improvements according to the roadmap and in alignment with Product Management </li><li>Supporting your directs in professional and career development based on their strengths and weaknesses in alignment with the team’s and company’s needs </li></ul><h2>What you bring:</h2><ul><li>You are an experienced software engineer leader with a strong background in software operations </li></ul><ul><li>You possess practical experience in all key areas of modern software development, including infrastructure, observability, testing, deployment pipelines incl. quality assurance, and scaling </li></ul><ul><li>You’ve operated and supported large-scale software systems in cloud and non-cloud environments (on-premise) </li></ul><ul><li>You’ve worked in companies with strong operational cultures, ideally in logistics or manufacturing – understanding the commercial impact of system downtime </li></ul><ul><li>You have experience leading and developing engineers at various levels </li></ul><ul><li>You are proficient with most of the following technologies: </li></ul><ul><li>Kotlin / SpringBoot </li></ul><ul><li>Kubernetes </li></ul><ul><li>Linux </li></ul><ul><li>PostgreSQL </li></ul><ul><li>OptaPlanner / Camunda / BPMN / Optimization </li></ul><ul><li>Python / Bash is a plus </li></ul><ul><li>OPC-UA / PLC / SPS is a plus </li></ul>You bring Cloud Operations experience <ul><li>Experience with Azure is a bonus </li></ul><ul><li>You’re familiar with monitoring and alerting practices for production systems </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with defining and working with SLAs/SLOs is a bonus </li></ul><ul><li>Frequent travel within Germany for in-person team events as well visiting our manufacturing location (every 6 weeks)</li></ul><h2> What we offer</h2><ul><li>An unlimited contract with 28 vacation days.  </li></ul><ul><li>Flexible, hybrid work: You can work from home or come into the office on the schedule that works best for you.
