GFL Environmental is seeking a Disability Management Specialist to oversee end-to-end disability claims and support the safe, timely return of employees to work. This is a field-facing, collaborative role that works closely with internal stakeholders, healthcare providers, and compensation boards to ensure consistent and effective case management across the province.  <h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Manage all aspects of disability claims, including appeals and stakeholder coordination.</li><li>Lead safe and timely return-to-work plans, in alignment with operational goals and employee well-being.</li><li>Serve as the point of contact for field leadership, H&amp;S teams, and medical providers.</li><li>Provide ongoing support to employees, ensuring clear communication throughout their recovery.</li><li>Conduct injury trend analyses and deliver regular reporting and insights.</li><li>Develop and facilitate Disability Management training.</li><li>Monitor claims for objections and prepare responses/appeals as needed.</li><li>Travel across BC to support claims and field activities (up to 50%).</li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Disability Management, or a related field; current enrollment in a related program is considered an asset.</li><li>2–3 years of relevant experience in managing WorkSpace BC.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Occupational Health &amp; Safety legislation and the Employment Standards Act.</li><li>Valid BC driver’s license and willingness to travel.</li><li>Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Familiarity with Provincial Workers' Compensation Boards across Canada is a strong asset.</li></ul>  We thank you for your interest.
