The Risk Measurement team is responsible for developing and maintaining Tandem’s impairment related models – this includes stress testing / scenario analyses, Credit Risk ICAAP Pillar 2A and 2B models.  This team is also responsible for producing the monthly impairment charge and quarterly impairment forecasts.Your Impact: Building a greener tomorrow  As a Credit Risk Manager at Tandem your focus will be to support the Risk Measurement team to enhance credit risk models in particular ICAAP P2A and P2B stress testing models and feedback into development of other Risk Measurement models including impairment actuals and impairment forecasting models. This will include<ul><li>Enhance the existing 1st generation P2A stress test models. Develop plan to enhance these models while working with internal (Product team) and external (Bureau) dependencies. Implement modelling enhancements and take modelling changes through independent model validation.</li><li>Work with Data team to ensure delivery of Risk Measurement data requirements related to ICAAP models.</li><li>Work with external stakeholders including 3rd party consultancies and Bureau to ensure availability of appropriate data to deliver ICAAP modelling goals.</li><li>Develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders - includes Product, Operations, Finance and Compliance.</li><li>Adapt communication style and approaches to articulate findings, business impacts and recommendations confidently and effectively, in particular, with respect to written and verbal communication at Heads of and Director level. </li><li>Share best practices and support the Risk Measurement team on wider impairment related activities.</li><li>Support wider 2nd line Credit Risk team, with particular focus market leading practices on credit risk analytics, impairment, stress testing, insight reporting and Credit Committee governance agenda.  </li></ul>We’d love to hear from you if you have:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in maths / stats, finance, business, economics, or other quantitative related field.</li><li>Knowledge: a good knowledge of consumer credit risk management.</li><li>Knowledge: a good knowledge of ICAAP 2PA / P2B modelling.</li><li>Knowledge: good understanding of mortgage, personal loans and motor finance products.</li><li>Experience of building scorecards, IFRS9 modelling and Stress Testing.</li><li>Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent programming skills (SAS, SQL, Excel), with working knowledge of R or Python.</li><li>Time management skills: good time management skills, the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, maintain timelines and manage/plan workloads effectively.</li><li>Good communication skills, both written and verbal with experience of tailoring communication for different audiences.</li><li>Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.</li><li>Proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.</li></ul>It would be great, but not essential if you have:<ul><li>Previous experience of working in Fintech environment</li><li>Extensive experience in banking, with a strong focus on credit risk management throughout the majority of the career</li><li>Strong understanding of credit risk management principles on mortgages, personal loans, motor finance.</li><li>Strong Knowledge of ICAAP P2A modelling including knowledge of PRA benchmarks, proxy-IRB approach and building bespoke P2A ICAAP models for consumer lending portfolios.</li><li>Advanced working knowledge of R/Python</li></ul>Rewards that reflect your value, what’s in it for you?  At Tandem, your hard work is rewarded in many ways, and we have an enhanced employee benefits package on offer from your very first day with us.
