We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What you’ll do:<ul><li style="font-size:10pt;">Perform a Lightning Direct Effects Hazard Assessment on a carbon composite aircraft.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Define, plan, execute and document Lightning Direct Effect tests.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Support the team for DO-160 qualification and HIRF/Lightning System integrated tests.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Support the Airframe EEE protection and Current Return Network designs</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Review and analyze HIRF/Lightning experimental and numerical simulation model and data.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Provide real-time EEE guidance and oversight to Archer and supplier design teams.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Perform design changes and non-conformities EEE assessment.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Support Archer’s discussions and negotiations with FAA.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Contribute as required to the EEE certification plan, requirements and HIRF and Lightning Safety Assessment.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Effectively communicate status and risks to leadership and the rest of the team.</li></ul>What you need:<ul><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience with all phases of civil and/or military aircraft development from concept to entry into service</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience working on a carbon composite aircraft.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience leading Lightning Direct Effect tests (From procurement of material to post-test analysis)</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience performing a Lightning Hazard Assessment.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience with MIL 464 / MIL 461 / DO-160 (EEE) qualification tests and HIRF/Lightning system integrated tests.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience participating in EEE aircraft level tests.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience providing EEE guidance to aircraft design teams and working with Aerospace suppliers.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience with highly integrated aerospace systems</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Degree in engineering related technical field </li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Passion for learning and problem solving</li></ul>Bonus Qualifications:<ul><li style="font-size:10pt;">Good physical understanding of electromagnetics.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience using the EEE certification standards and practices used on civilian/military airplanes</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience with numerical simulation of HIRF and Lightning.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Interest in eVTOLs and/or electric aircraft.</li><li style="font-size:10pt;">Experience working with HV systems.</li></ul>At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
