In this role, you’ll take ownership of process engineering deliverables such as P&amp;IDs, control narratives, and system layouts, and work cross-functionally to resolve real-world design and integration challenges. </span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">You will be instrumental in driving the development and iteration of our capture process technology – translating concepts into functional designs, troubleshooting issues identified during builds and tests, analyzing system data to validate performance, and communicating requirements and outcomes to a wide variety of stakeholders.</span></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Own and develop process engineering deliverables for CarbonCapture prototype systems, including P&amp;IDs, heat and mass balance, equipment specifications, and operational procedures.</li><li>Help define and evolve system architecture, including process flows, control strategies, instrumentation and measurement approach, heat integration, and risk mitigations.</li><li>Lead resolution of process and mechanical issues found in real-world builds (e.g., control logic, layout clashes, and integration gaps).</li><li>Collaborate with mechanical, electrical &amp; controls, project, and test teams to ensure well-integrated system designs and reliable operation.</li><li>Support prototype development through test planning and data analysis.</li><li>Identify and drive opportunities for system-level improvements in performance, safety, cost, and operability.</li><div><br></div></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.</li><li>3+ years of full-time industry experience in process engineering.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of thermodynamics, process design principles, and control systems. </li><li>Experience creating and managing process engineering documentation: P&amp;IDs, PFDs, mass and energy balances, and control strategies.</li><li>Comfortable working hands-on with early-stage systems and prototypes, including on-site troubleshooting. </li><li>Clear, concise communication and documentation skills.</li><li>Self-directed and adaptable, with a proven ability to define and execute tasks in a startup-style environment.</li></ul><h3>Desired Background</h3><ul><li>Experience in pilot plant design and operation, or in scale-up of new process technologies. </li><li>Proficiency in Python and/or other data analysis tools.</li><li>Prior experience modeling systems in Excel, Python, Aspen, and/or other software tools.</li></ul><br><div>CarbonCapture Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, making all employment decisions based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
