Position: Sales Effectiveness Manager - Nitrogen Farm Solutions; Location: Heartland (Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin), Remote

We are looking for a regional sales training professional who has experience developing and delivering training programs that improve sales effectiveness and performance.  This role will directly support the onboarding and continual training efforts that enable our sales professionals to be recognized by our customer as the trusted advisor network for sustainable Nitrogen farm solutions.  As a Regional Training Manager, you will play a critical role on our Commercial Sales team to teach to a consistent sales message and set of sales behaviors that drive sale results.  You will work closely with field sales leadership (Regional Sales Leads, Territory Sales Managers, Channel Development Managers, Regional Agronomy Leads, Commercial Agronomists, Customer Success Team) to understand skill deficiencies and close these learning gaps with a comprehensive set of training initiatives.  This role has responsibilities to onboard and meet the ongoing training needs for two target audiences: Pivot Bio’s commercial sales employees and Pivot Bio’s independent rep network.  

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement training initiatives that address skill deficiencies as identified by the organization and through customer and rep feedback
  • Facilitate training programs to support internal sales employees (new hires and existing) as well as external rep network  
  • Leverage training tools to drive a consistent and confident sales message across the sales organization.
  • Training and communication liaison for the region to ensure important knowledge transfer and collaboration takes place from the various functions (Commercial and Product Agronomy, Marketing, Sales, R&D, Rep Peer Network) delivered to the rep network channel and customer.
  • Utilize customer and rep feedback surveys, questionnaires, interviews, and observations to evaluate effectiveness of training programs and make revisions or enhancements where needed
  • Elevate field sales team skills around leadership, coaching, communication, conflict resolution, questioning and listening as well as other identified areas aimed to improve the field sales team’s ability to impact higher sales productivity
  • Implement training workshops to support field adoption of commercial sales tools designed to drive sales effectiveness, what the expectation of engagement are, how to use each tool, and what enhancements or changes to be aware of for functionality and usage

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agricultural business or related field
  • 5+ years in ag sales, training, marketing, business development in a managerial capacity (minimum 2 years work experience in training)
  • Well-versed in sales process and building training for soft-skills development to support rep and customer-facing field sales manager positions 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Experience in, or willing to learn, applications to include but not limited to HubSpot/CRM, Tableau, Company Custom Sales Mobile App and Marketing Portal, and additional company programs and software applications as determined to support field sales adoption of tools
  • Must be able to work in a nimble, fast paced environment, requiring excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Must be self-motivated and strive for excellence
  • Travel requirements: 50% - 60% within assigned region
