Position: Senior IT Infrastructure Manager, San Francisco Bay Area (Preferred) or willing to travel

We are looking for a Sr. IT Infrastructure Manager, to manage Pivot's IT infrastructure, technical operations, and roadmap. As the IT Manager, you will provide technical insight, strategic context, and leadership. Partnering closely with the application teams, program managers, IT and business leadership, she/he will ensure business needs are clearly understood and that the technology implemented meets the needs and expectations of the business.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the IT Infrastructure, Operations Project Portfolio
  • Be responsible for the operation of a mission-critical IT infrastructure, including data center operations, network, storage, compute, and cloud solutions
  • Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and administration of IT systems, including LAN, WAN, WiFi, SaaS, Iaas and PaaS solutions.
  • Manage desktop support activities and thrive for the best user/customer experience
  • Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions
  • Be accountable for system reliability, security, and availability
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and activities

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 7+ years of hands-on management of IT operations and infrastructure responsibility with broad exposure to system integrations, migrations, upgrades, and maintenance. Preferably in a medium to large, enterprise environment
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, managing, migrating, and securing operations on Saas platforms such as G-workplace, O/M 365, video conferencing, IM, etc.
  • Expert knowledge in IAM including active directory, federation, SAML based SSO, MFA, access control, audit, and remediation
  • Expert in endpoint management and security such as MDM, NGAV and auto provisioning
  • Experience and solid understanding of patching methodologies, software distribution and update management in a hybrid environment.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience in record keeping for as ISO 27001compliance  
  • Experience establishing and managing relationships with and the performance of infrastructure solution providers and cloud vendors to ensure client objectives and SLAs are being achieved
  • Solid experience with automated onboarding and offboarding of users including integration with HRIS.
  • Familiarity with scientific and lab systems. 
  • Understanding of security frameworks (e.g. NIST, CIS, ISO)
  • Experience assessing and implementing security controls
  • Ability to manage service desk and asset management operations.
