A key part of the role will be championing and leading infrastructure as code and improving automated build and test.</p><h2><strong><span>Responsibilities:</span></strong><span> </span></h2><ul><li>Design a cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS.</li><li>Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements.</li><li>Provision, configure, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code.</li><li>Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools.</li><li>Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.</li><li>Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas.</li><li>Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems.</li><li>Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.</li></ul><h2><strong><span>Basic Qualifications:</span></strong></h2><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodeBuild, S3, RDS) or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree.</li><li>Demonstrated hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure.</li><li>Strong foundation in networking concepts and Linux system administration.</li><li>Previous experience with Docker, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Ansible.</li><li>Proven track record of learning and leveraging a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools.</li><li>Experience with software testing frameworks such as PyTest, GoogleTest, Jest, React Testing Library or Playwright.</li><li>Strong bias for action and ownership.</li></ul><h2><span>Preferred Skills and Experience:</span></h2><ul><li>Comfortable writing robust code and automation scripts in Python or equivalent.</li><li>Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements.</li><li>AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>ITAR REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p><ul><li>To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
