Job Summary

As Bird continues to scale its sharing and consumer products businesses, we are also building out a new team to focus on strategy and exploring new venture opportunities. This group is responsible for evaluating, building, and ultimately scaling new opportunities for Bird. The team will own all strategic analysis and end-to-end process that underpins all idea generation, evaluation of business models, and scaling business ideas. As a member of the team, you will be involved in every facet of the incubation process and will work cross functionally with company executives, dedicated product and engineering teams, and other functional teams as necessary across the business to build out, test, and scale new business units.

Responsibilities

• Assess new ideas, evaluate business verticals/industries, test concepts, and shape/build the New Ventures ideation, validation, and launch process
• Structure and build forecasting models and business cases for new verticals or industries
• Lead, develop, and validate market sizing and P&L assumptions for new business ventures based on market research and customer discovery
• Develop go-to-market strategies for new verticals and assist in the creation of MVPs
• Help set up and scale relevant teams and processes throughout the business in order to scale successful ventures
• Work cross-functionally across all areas of the company, including product, growth, and business operations

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, venture capital, and/or corporate development, business operations or strategy teams of high-growth start-ups
• High level of energy, motivation, and commitment
• Analytical, data-driven decision making, with a structured approach to problem solving
• Execution-focused and entrepreneurial spirit - you can figure out solutions and run with them independently
• Excited about new ideas - you are both cynical enough to put ideas to the test, and confident enough to make bold bets
• Interest in researching new industries, generating and testing hypotheses, and evaluating business models
