This role will play a key part in bringing lab and pilot-scale systems online, integrating control and power systems, and scaling clean metallurgy from concept to reality. The ideal candidate is both technically rigorous and hands-on, with experience in industrial power distribution, control systems, and hardware implementation. This is a multi-site role based out of our Exeter, NH and Burlington, MA facilities. </span></div><br><br><h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Design and implement power distribution, motor control, and instrumentation systems for new and existing process units </li><li>Create and update detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent </li><li>Specify and select hardware components including PLCs, VFDs, circuit protection devices, sensors, and actuators </li><li>Build, install, and commission electrical panels and field wiring for R&amp;D and pilot systems </li><li>Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve safety, reliability, and performance </li><li>Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, etc.) </li><li>Support system integration with process engineers, including sensor feedback, alarms, and automated control logic </li><li>Contribute to electrical documentation packages including BOMs, settings, test plans, and maintenance procedures </li><li>Lead hands-on electrical assembly work as needed to meet project milestones </li><li>Identify opportunities for system standardization and design-for-scale in preparation for commercial deployment </li></ul><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field </li><li>3–6 years of experience in electrical design and implementation in an industrial, manufacturing, or R&amp;D environment </li><li>Proven experience designing and commissioning electrical systems including panels, power distribution, and controls </li><li>Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical (or similar) for schematic and layout development </li><li>Strong understanding of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems, motor control, and instrumentation </li><li>Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, UL) </li><li>Experience specifying and configuring industrial electrical components (PLCs, VFDs, relays, etc.) </li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment across multiple physical sites </li><li>Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on complex electrical systems </li><li>Passion for building sustainable, real-world solutions to global materials challenges </li></ul><h3>We offer a competitive compensation package that is based on expertise.
