You will also provide support for an IT-focussed  engineering development environment by administering engineering-related systems for product development.</p><ul><li>Your daily responsibilities will include corporate IT resource monitoring, deployment, and incident management. You will also design Nuro’s IT workflows and automate them with scripting / programming.</li><li>Administering and mentoring team members in AWX workflows (creating or improving as required)</li><li>Respond to requests from other teams at Nuro related to Linux and cloud  infrastructure issues and planning</li><li>Adhere to and define security policies including areas such as system policy, and access control with directory system</li><li>Assist team members as needed in areas outside of Linux configuration and virtualization, including but not limited to VDI, IaC </li><li>Creating and monitoring metrics for corporate systems</li><li>Record events and problems and their resolution in tickets</li></ul><h2><strong>About You<br></strong></h2><ul><li>Experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu a plus) and virtualization technology</li><li>Devops-level scripting/coding experience</li><li>Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and technologies such as TerraForm</li><li>Experience with remote administration and configuration tooling such as Ansible</li><li>Experience with working with cloud environments such as GCS, AWS,  .</li><li>Familiarity with SSL, SSH, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, general knowledge of encryption</li><li>Familiarity with security concepts for enterprise system solutions</li><li>Proficient in general networking principles; routing TCP/IP, DNS, VPN </li><li>5+ years of experience systems engineering</li><li>In-depth knowledge of Linux, computer architecture, and/or cyber security</li><li>Hands-on experience with managing local and/or cloud clusters/servers </li><li>Hands-on experience with Experience and/or knowledge within ProxMox preferred</li><li>Directory Service implementation / administration experience preferred</li><li>Ability to write system administration automation scripts in shell, Python, or PERL</li><li>Knowledge of Jira, Jenkins, Confluence, Google WorkspaceApps</li></ul><p> </p><p><em>At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $138,000 and $207,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
