You’ll develop a strong understanding of these systems to effectively replicate and investigate user-reported issues, test and validate solutions, create and use clear and detailed instructions and documentation, and assist customers in resolving problems and using the applications effectively.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide support for both enterprise and custom-built applications.</li><li>Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, coordinating with development teams as needed.</li><li>Manage incident, service request, and problem tickets through the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.</li><li>Participate in diagnosing issues, system upgrades, patch management, and application deployments, sometimes with customers.</li><li>Assess and prioritise resolution of configuration and deployment issues in line with customer SLAs.</li><li>Maintain technical documentation including standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.</li><li>Identify recurring problems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure compliance with Xylem's IT and security standards.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; SkillsRequired:<ul><li>3+ years of experience in application support, DevOps, or similar discipline.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.</li><li>Understanding of relational databases.</li><li>Proficiency in supporting Java applications on Linux platforms.</li><li>Experience working with ticketing and monitoring tools.</li><li>Strong communication skills.</li><li>A collaborative team member who adapts quickly, embraces new challenges, and is eager to learn new skills.</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Understanding of ITIL principles and service management practices.</li><li>Experience with MS SQL Server, Postgres and/or Maria DB</li><li>Knowledge of AWS and Terraform an advantage</li><li>Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) or automation tools.</li><li>Clean driving license.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
