We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Xylem Heat TransferThis is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the organization as part of the extended leadership team.  The Production Supervisor on 3rd Shift will be responsible for to ensure the safe and efficient production of all Heat Transfer products. Location: 175 Standard Pkwy, Cheektowaga, NY, 14227CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform/oversee each essential duty satisfactorily.   <ul><li>Manage and evaluate machine resources, capacity to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.</li><li>Cross train and assist with the day-to-day management of all internally manufactured products throughout the facility. </li><li>Oversee the hourly (Unionized) workforce employees in the manufacturing departments.</li><li>Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.</li><li>Lead projects to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.</li><li>Become the facilities champion and facilitator for the following:<ul><li>Lead initiatives around creation of standard work throughout the facility.</li><li>Develop a facility wide plan to implement, execute upon and ensure sustainment of 5S throughout the operation.</li><li>Develop programs to Initiate and execute a robust training plan in support of Safety, Quality requirements &amp; Operations management. </li></ul></li><li>Lead and support projects as required in the facilities using SQDCM methodologies.</li><li>Responsible to monitor &amp; track plant wide metrics in support of daily &amp; monthly reporting obligations.</li><li>Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement events as required.</li><li>Participate in the operations strategic planning process and set ambitious production goals and communicate those plans to key personnel.</li><li>Regular participation and a key contributor to the facilities SIOP process.</li><li>Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees.</li><li>Regularly communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.</li><li>Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising safety or integrity.</li><li>Create and/or execute upon schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.</li><li>Interfaces with Materials Management to coordinate materials for production.</li><li>Track and maintain employee attendance records and address performance problems.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or other relevant discipline.</li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (Unionized workforce experience is a plus).</li><li>Experience with ISO standards or other recognized Quality Management Systems is strongly preferred.</li><li>Experience with ASME preferred but not required.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Welding Blueprint Reading and Practices Preferred.</li><li>Strong Project Management Background Preferred.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.</li><li>Above average skills using Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment.</li><li>Ability to coach/mentor &amp; train others on a consistent and regular basis.</li><li>Ability to work with little or no supervision.</li><li>Overtime is required, weekend overtime can be mandatory.</li><li>Flexibility to occasionally work any shift as required in support of the business operation’s needs.</li><li>Light Lifting (10-15 lbs.), mainly manufacturing environment with some office environment exposure.</li></ul>DAY IN THE LIFE: the working environment is typical manufacturing floor and office environment.Xylem does not provide visa sponsorship for this positionThe estimated salary range for this position is $72,300 to $72,300.00 - $130,100.00 plus bonus.   Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement. <h3>#LI-JRT05</h3>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
