Employees at this level solve complex problems, manage work, and provide leadership to others in engineering areas of specialization, with minimal supervision and increased latitude for un-reviewed work. The Lead Engineer serves in lead roles providing guidance to others. They are also expected to have advanced skills and have the ability to work independently.This position can be based in the Carolinas, Florida, or in the MidwestBasic / Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program</li><li>8 years related work experience.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Additional Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Skilled in engineering theories and principles</li><li>Skilled in the practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations.</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Skilled principles of project management.</li><li>Experience in the utility industry.</li><li>Department specific experience applicable to the hiring department.</li></ul><h2></h2>Working Conditions<ul><li>Field Mobility Classification – Work will be performed in various field locations, as needed, after the onboarding period. However, field employees are required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location.</li><li>This position can be based in the Carolinas, Florida, or in the Midwest</li><li>Perform work in a power plant or office environment.</li><li>Occasional overtime including nights, weekends and holidays if required.</li><li>Exposure to mechanical, electrical, noise or other industrial hazards, and utilize appropriate protective equipment as needed.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Specific Requirements</h2><ul><li>Must have obtained Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or PE</li><li>Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience</li><li>Nuclear may require either Professional Engineer registration, a Masters Degree in a technical discipline,  SRO certification, an RO or SRO license, or Technical Nuclear certification.</li><li>A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S.
