DUTIES: We seek a Software Development Lead Engineer based out of our office at 3800 Automation Avenue, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position requires international and domestic travel up to 5%.Lead automotive product software development projects. Act as an individual contributor while leading the work to achieve software deliveries that meet the input requirements and program expectations with agreed resources and other prerequisites. Conduct software configuration management, software requirements, software integration, software releases, and development environments. Identify project risks and make recommendations to minimize risk. Identify work packages to be outsourced. Manage the suppliers to meet project planning and deliverable quality. Conduct design, implementation, and software testing activities. Negotiate timing and content of deliveries. Conduct agile methodology-based development. Support software process adherence and compliance with Quality Assurance standards.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, Computer engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering and 48 months of experience in the job offered or related position in software development. Experience must include: Experience quoting new business opportunities; 36 months of experience providing software project management; Experience working with global distribution teams; Experience with software quality processes (ASPICE, CMMI); and Experience leading teams using agile development methodology.
