Environmental Planning ManagerJob Description: AECOM is actively recruiting for an Environmental Planning Manager to support a major Design-Build transportation project in north Metropolitan Atlanta. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Alpharetta, GA.The selected candidate will join an interdisciplinary team working on the SR 400 Express Lanes project, which involves the construction of express lanes along a 16-mile corridor of SR 400. The role requires managing environmental processes in alignment with engineering milestones in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The candidate will work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, performing multiple concurrent program and environmental tasks in managing the environmental process to align with engineering milestones. Some of the elements include meetings, coordinating with the multiple stakeholder teams, overseeing environmental compliance, coordinating with GDOT, and overseeing the NEPA process.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead environmental planning efforts in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and GDOT’s environmental procedures and schedule management for the GDOT Department Process.</li><li>Manage environmental compliance audits and coordinate permitting (Sections 10/404/401).</li><li>Align environmental deliverables with project schedules and engineering milestones.</li><li>Collaborate with GDOT and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and timely project delivery.</li><li>Engage with state and federal agencies (e.g., GA EPD, GA WRD, USACE, USFWS) to secure necessary environmental clearances.</li><li>Provide program management support, including budget oversight, staffing coordination, and schedule management.</li><li>Mentor junior staff and support business development initiatives.</li><li>Conduct and present findings in meetings with clients, agencies, and the public.</li><li>Author and review technical documents, ensuring high-quality environmental reporting and analysis.</li><li>Perform fieldwork, data collection, GIS mapping, and technical reviews as needed.</li><li>Prepares NEPA documentation in compliance with the GDOT Environmental Procedures Manual and Guidebooks.</li></ul> <ul></ul>
