You’ll coordinate with warehouse staff, carriers, and various internal departments to manage schedules, prepare documentation, and resolve shipping-related issues. Your efforts will directly contribute to our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Shipping Management: Schedule, route, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery according to customer requirements.</li><li>Documentation &amp; Compliance: Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, and customs paperwork while ensuring adherence to shipping regulations and company policies.</li><li>Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse staff for accurate picking, packing, labeling, and monitoring of inventory levels to avoid shortages or delays.</li><li>Carrier &amp; Vendor Liaison: Communicate with freight companies, third-party logistics providers, and carriers to arrange transportation, negotiate rates, and resolve shipping issues.</li><li>Problem Resolution: Address and resolve delays, damaged goods, or incorrect deliveries with corrective actions and clear communication.</li><li>Reporting &amp; Analysis: Generate and analyze shipping performance reports to identify trends and process improvement opportunities.</li><li>Customer Service: Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding shipment status, tracking information, and delivery concerns.</li><li>Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline shipping procedures.</li></ul>Your Profile / QualificationsQualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Experience in warehouse operations, including use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks</li><li>Strong adherence to safety protocols in all equipment operation and material handling.</li><li>Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and order processing software.</li><li>Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills.</li><li>Clear communication abilities—both verbal and written.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines under pressure.</li><li>Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot minor process or equipment issues.</li><li>Flexibility to assist in other warehouse areas as needed.</li><li>Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to achieving goals.</li></ul>The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $20-$22 per hour.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position.
