The post holder is responsible for delivering profitable new business growth of Leisure CryoEase Systems and or Leisure gases cylinder supply via Air Products direct or agents of Air Products. New business leads should be self-generated, developed from internal business development specialists and sourced from key group accounts as a result their own prospecting activity or that of the Leisure Major Account Manager and peers within the business. The Leisure BDM is responsible for all elements of the new business acquisition including the on-site equipment survey and should network effectively with colleagues from all other business functions including Sales Support, Planning &amp; Distribution, Engineering, Credit Management, Marketing, Account Management teams all business support teams and working parties as required. The Leisure BDM operates in a clearly defined Leisure and Licensed trade market segment and should have a good degree of market &amp; commercial knowledge.This position is accountable for the following end results:<ul><li>Proactive sales of Leisure CryoEase Systems and Leisure cylinder gases to new customers, through the development of product and market knowledge in the Leisure and Licensed drinks gases market sectors we serve.</li><li>Achievement of personal revenue, volume and profitability targets.</li><li>Active management of key Leisure customer pre-defined by the Leisure Business Manager, including price negotiations, recontracting, winning organic growth opportunities and general account query resolution.</li><li>Compliance with standard installation guidelines for Leisure CryoEase Systems to ensure adherence to Air Products safety policies and costs are maintained within pre-evaluated guidelines.</li><li>Use of CRM tool to maintain a healthy prospect pipeline, record call activities and process new business acquisition.</li><li>Field based activities are expected to equate to approximately 75% of the BDM’s time.</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Strong commercial focus and good negotiations skills are essential.</li><li>Demonstrable track record &amp; prior experience of new business sales experience in a business to business environment.</li><li>Self-motivated and self-directed with a desire and proven ability to achieve within a target driven environment. </li><li>Possession of a driving license valid in the UK.</li><li>Good team skills and capability of successfully developing win/win situations with peers.</li><li>High energy individual, willing to travel extensively within allocated area to maximize effective use of time.</li><li>Use of IT to enhance communication, business analysis and growth opportunities, which include but not limited to: Microsoft Office, CRM tool, SAP and Pricing tools.</li></ul>We are the world’s largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
