Cruise’s Risk Management team is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to help us define and lead product implementation initiatives and drive technology roadmap for risk management systems, claims administration systems, reporting and analytics tools. You'll provide program management support for various Risk initiatives. You’ll keep Actuarial, Claims, and Risk Financing teams focused to meet project commitments by effectively and efficiently carrying out the roadmap ensuring quality delivery. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, product, and external partners to build out a roadmap and implement risk objectives.

This role is ideal if you’re interested in driving new initiatives, defining technology strategy, and assisting in development of new risk / insurance products.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive design, functional analysis, implementation and management of projects/programs for Risk team initiatives
  • Lead technical evaluation of vendors and drive product implementation by working closely with internal and external partners
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define OKRs, identify risks, and communicate clearly with project partners
  • Ability to work independently with Product, Engineering, Operations, and other partners to support in the ideation and development of risk / insurance products
  • Keep up-to date on the latest technology solutions and frameworks in market to generate innovative ideas to tackle challenges
  • Build positive, trusting relationships through consistent delivery of commitments and effective communication

What you must have:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of experience with business analysis, integration services, product configuration, and defining processes
  • Working knowledge of product configuration and system integration concepts including but not limited to RESTful APIs, web services, etc.
  • 2+ years experience in program, project and/or product management
  • Exceptional analytical, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical cross-functional groups
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Having the right blend of technological depth, system expertise and project management skills is key to the success of this role

  • Experience working in risk management or insurance industry (even if tangential)
  • Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations
  • Experience building insurance products in the sharing economy space
