Safety, environment, and wellbeing are our foundation, and we never compromise them.  We are looking for a Senior Service Engineer 2 stroke to strengthen our skilled 2-Stroke Field Service team.   The location for this position is Gdansk, Poland.  Your role and responsibilities    As a Senior Service Engineer 2 stroke you will focus on these responsibilities: <ul><li>Conduct overhauls of engine components on site/on board, including some in situ machining according to the work plan.</li><li>Perform advanced mechanical, electronic, automation, and system integration-related fault finding and troubleshooting on 2-stroke engines and ancillary equipment.</li><li>Provide technical advice for repair activities carried out by customers.</li><li>Perform mechanical commissioning and verification of work done.</li><li>Lead and manage the assigned team and supervise related activities on site during FS work execution.</li><li>Interact with customers and the FS and TS back offices during work.</li><li>Provide internal and external progress updates on the assigned work.</li><li>Prepare service work reports and travel expense reports on time and to the expected Wärtsilä quality standard.</li><li>Proactively consult, advise, and promote Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers.</li></ul> To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: <ul><li>B. Sc. or M. Sc. in Engineering or similar relevant technical educational background.</li><li>Previous working experience with service work on installations of mechanical, electrical, and/or auxiliary equipment.</li><li>Deep understanding of the principles of operation of 2-stroke engines.</li><li>Awareness and readiness to take up mechanical and electrical troubleshooting tasks on engines, auxiliary systems, and our service products..</li><li>Proficient reporting skills.</li><li>MS Office skills, along with skills in other relevant reporting tools.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with ability to work in a multicultural environment and seamlessly collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Fluent Polish along with strong English language skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Passion for learning and willingness to enhance knowledge in order to service our retrofit products.</li><li>Willingness to travel world-wide. </li><li>Valid driving license.</li></ul> Why you and us?    You are valued – as your true self.
