Job Description:The System Administrator / Network Administrator will be based in Hyderabad, Telangana and will be responsible for day to day IT support including the analysis, acquisition, installation, configuration, implementation, modification and support of Network, Operating systems, software, and applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing both system and network infrastructures to ensure seamless and secure operations.<div></div>Key Responsibilities:System Administration:<ul><li>Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and related software.</li><li>Perform system monitoring, patch management, and troubleshooting of hardware/software issues.</li><li>Maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights using Active Directory and Group Policy.</li><li>Ensure systems are secure and compliant with organizational and industry standards.</li><li>Manage backups, disaster recovery, and system documentation.</li></ul>Network Administration (Cisco Focused):<ul><li>Configure and maintain Cisco switches (Catalyst series preferred), routers, and wireless access points.</li><li>Implement VLANs, STP, link aggregation, and port security as per network design.</li><li>Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and outages.</li><li>Collaborate on firewall rules, VPN configurations, and network segmentation.</li><li>Ensure high availability and network resilience through redundancy and failover planning.</li></ul><div></div>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li><li>3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or Network Administrator.</li><li>Proficiency in managing Cisco switching technologies and related CLI commands.</li><li>Strong understanding of IP addressing, subnets, routing, and switching.</li><li>Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), DNS, DHCP, and file services.</li></ul><div></div>Preferred Certifications (any of the following):<ul><li>Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)</li><li>Microsoft Certified: Windows Server/Systems Administrator</li><li>CompTIA Network+ or Security+</li><li>VMware VCP or equivalent</li></ul><div></div>Soft Skills:<ul><li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and within a team.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and documentation.</li></ul><div></div>Work Environment &amp; Tools:<ul><li>Exposure to on-prem and cloud environments.</li><li>Use of tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, Cisco Network Assistant, and RMM software.</li></ul>At Nextracker, we are leading in the energy transition, providing the most comprehensive portfolio of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions for solar power plants, as well as strategic services to capture the full value of solar power plants for our customers.
