This role will report to our Project Installation Manager. The Process Technician will be responsible for assisting in the rebuild of the pilot plant for SAF production, commissioning, and operation in AIRCO’s Pennsylvania facility. This person will ensure safe and efficient operation of our pilot plant. This person must have mechanical and instrumentation assembly experience. This role is based in New Britain, PA and will transition to 12 hr shifts once the unit is ready for operation.What you get to do <ul><li>Run instrumentation lines, mount flow meters, controllers and other devices, and other tasks as needed to rebuild the unit. </li><li>Safely start-up, operate, monitor and shut-down process equipment including fixed bed flow reactors and auxiliary reactor systems at lab, pilot and production scales.</li><li>Operate tertiary equipment and compressor systems for H₂ production.</li><li>Adjust, test, and operate pumps, valves, controls and other components of systems.</li><li>Monitor, record, and interpret process parameters and deviations as required on Honeywell Experion software.</li><li>Respond quickly to short-term business priorities and technology decision points by executing quick fabrication and set-up for various research test systems.</li><li>Flexible to work 12-hr day and night shifts to maintain a 24/7 continuous operational cycle.</li><li>Coordinate shift handovers effectively, providing detailed information to the incoming shift. </li></ul>What you bring to AIRCO<ul><li>5-10 years of mechanical and instrumentation assembly experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of safety systems relating to equipment and facilities</li><li>Knowledge of industry standards as applied to industrial environments </li><li>Has an interest in sustainability, technology, science, cultural progress, and startup environments</li><li>Strong bias for action </li><li>Proven ability to work with others, strong interpersonal, influencing leaderships skills</li></ul>The approximate annual base compensation range and benefits listed above may vary based on the applicant's experience, skills, abilities, and relevant industry expertise.Position type and expected hours of work: Full time position, be willing to work any day of the week, and be flexible to off shift and/or rotating shifts as applicable or assigned.
