We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</span></p></div><p></p><div><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></div><ul><li>Program and operate multi-axis CNC machines at Archer’s R&amp;D facility</li><li>Machine composite parts, foam masters and assembly jigs</li><li>Own CNC portion of shop; organize area, maintain equipment, purchase and inventory tools and consumables needed to keep area operational</li><li>Provide feedback to manufacturing engineering on tooling and fixturing design</li><li>Drive tooling strategies and fixture development for prototype builds, balancing the need for high precision with practical solutions suited to rapidly evolving programs</li><li>Provide solutions or alternative approaches to solve technical manufacturing problems</li><li>Perform inspections and measurements of product dimensions using basic measuring tools, calipers, micrometer, depth gauges, etc.</li><li>Support engineering activities including prototype development, proof of concept studies, and process validation</li><li>Train technicians on basics of operating the machines</li></ul><div><strong>What You Need:</strong></div><ul><li>10+ years CNC machining and programming experience</li><li>5+ years of experience machining composites</li><li>5+ years designing and manufacturing fixtures and tooling</li><li>Manual Mill and Lathe experience</li><li>Excellent documentation and written communication</li><li>Basic knowledge of drafting standards (read and interpret construction and mechanical drawings) to produce parts and assemblies</li><li>Experience with CNC programming software (Mastercam preferred)</li><li>Experience with CAD software (Siemens NX, CATIA preferred)</li><li>Experience using inspection tools (caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.)</li><li>Forklift experience</li></ul><div><strong>Bonus Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>Direct experience with aviation builds and assembly</li><li>Passion for aviation and eVTOLs</li><li>Demonstrated exposure to prototype environment with ability to problem solve</li><li>Experience working in composites shop with exposure to composites processing methods</li><li>Experience with DMS and CMS machines and software</li></ul><p></p><p>Please note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include an exhaustive list of responsibilities and qualifications.</p><p>At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
