You thrive in fast-paced environments where the results of your work play an important role in advancing new technologies to the market.Responsibilities of this position include:<ul><li>Perform a range of laboratories and manufacturing activities, including making production aerogels, operating pilot manufacturing equipment, and performing various measurements of produced materials</li><li>Support QA/QC testing on finished aerogels such as:<ul><li>Optical testing + imaging</li><li>Thermal conductivity</li><li>Thickness, weight, density</li></ul></li><li>Collect, organize, and document results using AeroShield standard documentation platforms and practices</li><li>Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment’s</li><li>Assist with inventory management and organization of production supplies</li></ul>This role requires candidates to be on-site 5 days a week at our facility in Waltham, MA.QualificationsMany great team members do not fit a “standard blueprint”. Scientists from MIT have developed breakthrough advances in nanoporous glass, the same material used to insulate spacecraft, to enable a new performance class of windows that offer affordability and efficiency.
New super-insulating material developed by AeroShield is designed to drop inside existing double-pane window manufacturing to create a window 50% more insulating &ndash; reducing energy use and improving comfort. Sealing AeroShield inside new windows enables energy&nbsp;payback faster&nbsp;than comparable products.
