The role will also have a high degree of interaction with the Director, Private Assets Servicing and other members of the investment team, working directly with them in support of the expansion of BAM Credit and Insurance Solutions Advisors LLC. investment portfolio. This role provides a highly motivated individual with a solid foundation and exposure to a progressive and dynamic career within BAM Credit.  The role will be based in Brookfield’s Toronto offices at Brookfield Place.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct reconciliation of cash, trade, and positions, ensuring accuracy across multiple systems and resolving discrepancies proactively</li><li>Support trade settlement and trade lifecycle events, and settlement across asset classes such as private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and agriculture</li><li>Support capital calls and distributions, ensuring timely and accurate processing for private asset funds and co-ordination with treasury team to ensure execution</li><li>Liaise with external service providers to support end to end processes related to Loan Administration, including transfers of Private Assets between lenders.</li><li>Support financial and regulatory reporting by ensuring accurate data capture and documentation for private asset investments including collaboration with investment accounting team on month-end close cycle.</li><li>Support in the implementation of complex transactions, product launches, closures and other initiatives</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, treasury, and accounting to support investment onboarding and reporting, including review of credit agreements and other financial documentation.</li><li>Collaborate with technology services for integration and process enhancement, while actively participating in system implementation projects for ongoing process improvements</li><li>Respond to internal and external inquiries and requests from other departments or escalate to manager on a timely basis</li><li>Participate in system implementation and process improvement projects as required.</li><li>Monitor changes to existing portfolios and apply the changes to all back-office systems.</li><li>Design ad-hoc reports for special requests from clients or internal requests.</li><li>Various special duties and projects assigned.</li><li>Build and enhance procedures documentation related to team responsibilities and deliverables</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements:<ul><li>6+ years of experience: CPA/CFA/CAIA designation is preferred.</li><li>Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or other relevant fields is required.</li><li>Working knowledge of trade life-cycle processes within Investment Operations / Middle Office related to alternative asset classes, private investments and fixed income.</li><li>Proficient in various settlement and reconciliation processes.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and other office applications (i.e.: Power BI, VBA); experience with other technical software is advantageous.</li><li>Strong analytical and conceptual thinker who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic, complex and unstructured environment</li><li>Thorough and meticulous with extreme focus on details.</li><li>Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to operate independently.</li><li>Team-oriented with a commitment to shared success.</li><li>Superior communication (oral and written) skills.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop collaborative relationships at all levels.</li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet internal and external deadlines.</li><li>High degree of professional ethics and integrity.</li></ul>Brookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.  Accordingly, we do not tolerate workplace discrimination, violence or harassment.Brookfield is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive organization.
